Pharmacy Practice Activities

Institute is involved in various Pharmacy practice activities such as Continuing Professional Development Programmes for community/hospital pharmacists, projects engaging pharmacists in public health activities, pharmacy practice surveys,articles/interviews by faculty on pharmacy issues and professional activities by faculty at national and international level.

The institute has collaborated with various organisations such Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council (MSPC), Maharashtra State Chemists and Druggist Association, Delhi Pharmaceutical Trust, Government Tuberculosis Cell and Indian Pharmaceutical Association. The institute has conducted several batches of PCC, Patient Counselling Course of MSPC for practising pharmacists.

Teaching Beyond The Curriculum: The institute uses innovative teaching methods such as Role Play Method to teach pharmacy practice skills to the students in Model Pharmacy, a unique setup created by the institute in year 2003.In another innovative initiative, called as Junior Clerkship,S Y D Pharm students are sent for exposure cum training to Community/Hospital Pharmacies during Second year of pharmacy.
